This collapsible, lightweight Jacob’s Staff is directly compatible with the Brunton OmniSlope or with any Brunton transit through the additional Ball & Socket Transit Mount.  With 25cm markings and indicators for 1.5m extension, this versatile tool enables accurate stratigraphic measurements as a Jacob's Staff.  It can collapse small enough to fit in a backpack or can be extended to any length as a trekking pole.  With standard threads, it can also serve as a monopod for photography or binocular/monocular stability.
